Learning outcomes: • Knowledge of methods and tools for computer diagnostics of car mechatronic systems. • Ability to diagnose mechatronic systems of the car, both as a whole and their components. • Ability to identify faults in car mechatronic systems, analyze the causes of their occurrence and develop recommendations for their elimination. • Knowledge of car structure, power units, electronic and electrical equipment. • Knowledge of the basics of technical operation and maintenance of cars. • Knowledge and skills in implementing new technologies to perform a range of maintenance and repair of vehicles. • Have the basics of car production and repair technology. • Be able to apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve problems of road transport. • Be able to analyze diagnostic and other information about the technical condition of the car • Be able to diagnose, analyze and evaluate the technical condition of mechatronic systems of the car. • Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages ??(English, German, Italian, French, Spanish. • Ability to use a variety of methods, including modern information technology, to communicate effectively at the professional and social levels. • Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge.
Required prior and related subjects: Electronics and microprocessor technology. Diagnostics of electrical and electronic equipment of cars. Electronic and electrical equipment of cars. Repair of electrical and electronic equipment of cars. Car mechatronics. Car system sensors. Technical means of computer diagnostics of cars.
Summary of the subject: Conducting diagnostics of mechatronic automotive systems, diagnostics, ECU, ECU identification, read the current settings test actuators, reading and erasing of fault codes control system, diagnosis of sensors and actuators.
Assessment methods and criteria: •current control (30%): written reports on laboratory work (20%), written reports on practical work (10%). •the final test (70%, exam): tests (60%), oral component (10%).
