Learning outcomes: PH1. Knowledge of car structure, power units, electronic and electrical equipment; PH2. Knowledge of the basics of computer diagnostics of mechatronic systems of the car; PH3. Be able to analyze diagnostic and other information about the technical condition of the car; PH4. Be able to use modern diagnostic equipment to obtain reliable information about the technical condition of car units and control systems; PH5. Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages; PH6. Ability to use a variety of methods, including modern information technology for effective communication at the professional and social levels; PH7. Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge.

Summary of the subject: The discipline considers the basic principles of construction and characteristics of modern devices for computer diagnostics of automotive technology. The calculation of the main elements of analog and digital circuitry is given. The general structure and basic possibilities of modern automobile diagnostic devices (scanners of onboard systems) and computer complexes of the OBD-II standard are given. The content of the information transmitted by electrical signals is converted (modulated or encoded) into their electrical or time parameters, and then where it is modulated or decoded. The main diagnostic parameters, their normative parameters and means for carrying out the diagnostic procedure are given. The principles of work with streams of digital parameters, information transfer from EBK to the scanner and their system analysis are given.
Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment of students' knowledge in the discipline "Computer diagnostics tools of automobiles" is conducted in accordance with the working curriculum in the form of current control.
