Learning outcomes: ? knowledge of design, application and current trends in the market of sensors for car systems. ? knowledge of the basics of calculation, design and operation of the main types of sensors in car systems. ? ability to determine the basic parameters of typical sensors of car systems. ? knowledge of car structure, power units, electronic and electrical equipment. ? knowledge of modern achievements and innovative technologies in the field of transport. ? have the basics of technology for the production and repair of cars. ? be able to analyze diagnostic and other information about the technical condition of the car. ? be able to diagnose, analyze and evaluate the technical condition of mechatronic systems of the car. ? ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages ??(English, German, Italian, French, Spanish). ? ability to use a variety of methods, including modern information technology, for effective communication at the professional and social levels. ? ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge.

Summary of the subject: Fundamentals and overview of construction. The sensors position. Potentiometric sensors. Magnetic-inductive sensors. Vortex sensors. Electromagnetic sensors. The sensors of the rotation frequency and speed. The acceleration sensors. The pressure sensors. Sensors of force and torque. Air flowmeters and fuel. The gas sensors and concentration. Sensors temperature. Photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral questioning, written reports on laboratory work, practical tasks, examination (30%) • final test (70 %, control event, exam): written-oral form (70%)
