Learning outcomes: • Search for necessary information in scientific and technical literature, databases and other sources; analyze and evaluate this information; • select pneumatic and hydraulic machines according to catalogs and handbooks for work in given conditions, and, using their operating characteristics, calculate the technical, operational and economic indicators of various systems and devices that transport liquids and gases, when working in different modes and such to identify optimal modes of their operation; • conduct hydromechanical experiments in laboratory conditions; • apply standard calculation methods when designing parts and assemblies of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. • RN 1 To have conceptual scientific and practical knowledge necessary for solving specialized complex problems of road transport, to critically consider relevant theories, principles, methods and concepts • RN 4.
