Learning outcomes: • knowledge of the main types of control systems with DC and AC electric motors • knowledge of the main provisions of the design, calculation and adjustment of open and feedbacks control electronic systems; • ability to exercise choice of control systems according to the requirements of the electric drive and control facility; perform calculation and design work; establish modern systems of management of electric drives.

Summary of the subject: Classification electric drive control systems. Open-loop control system. Typical control circuits are for starting and braking of electric DC motors. Typical control circuits are for starting and braking of electric AC motors. The systems of stability coordinate electric drives with feedback.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on laboratory works, oral questioning (20%) • final control (control measure - exam): written and oral form (80%)
