Learning outcomes: • acquire basic knowledge of technical characteristics, design features, purpose and rules of operation of electric power equipment and equipment; • know the basics of labor protection, industrial sanitation and fire safety when working with equipment and equipment; • to know modern technological processes and systems of technological preparation of production;; • have computer skills to solve specialty problems; • apply knowledge of technical characteristics, design features, purpose and rules of operation of equipment and equipment to solve technical problems of the specialty; • calculate, construct, design, research, operate, repair, debug typical electrical equipment and equipment; • to combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop an activity strategy to solve the tasks of the specialty; • evaluate the obtained results and argueably defend the decisions made.

Summary of the subject: Types of work during installation, adjustment and repair of power plant and substation equipment. Materials and products for electrical installation works. Installation of generators and turbogenerators. Mechanisms, tools and means. Installation of complete distribution devices 6-10 kV, distribution devices of generator voltage 10-20 kV; circuit breakers, insulators, buses, disconnectors; fuses, reactors, lighting; equipment of open distribution devices. Transportation, unloading, unpacking and storage of assemblies and parts of power transformers. Installation of power transformers. Heating and drying of transformers. Repair of generators and synchronous compensators. Repair of electric motors for own needs of power plants. Repair of transformers and test standards, repair of overhead and cable lines, electrical equipment of distribution devices.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on laboratory work, oral survey (30%); • final control (70%, control measure, exam) written and oral form (70%).
