Learning outcomes: • understanding causes of electromechanical transients origins in power systems ; • knowledge of fundamentals of theory and analysis of power system stability; • knowledge of modern methods of research and assessment of power system stability; • knowledge of principles of control means selecting for securing power system stability; • ability to use modern methods for power system stability assessment and to evaluate the results; • ability to use collected knowledge for power system stability tasks formulation and their solutions on the base of known methods .

Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on laboratory, course work, oral questioning (30%) • final control - exam: written and oral form (70%)
