Learning outcomes: • ability to collect, analyze, process, systematize scientific and technical information, summarize domestic and foreign experience in the development of electrical networks, study their modes, design of substations of electrical networks using standard and reference materials, modern software; • the ability to solve the problems of designing schemes for the development of electrical networks, substations of electrical networks using modern methods, techniques and principles and information technologies in a computerized workplace; • ability to use state-of-the-art application software to solve design problems, study power grid modes, calculate short-circuit currents; • ability to analyze the design decisions received; • the ability to perform a feasibility study for choosing the best design solution.
Required prior and related subjects: All disciplines of the bachelor's level curriculum
Summary of the subject: • substantiation of the relevance of the topic and purpose of the work and a brief overview of current developments on the topic; • analysis of the input data, characteristic features of the activity object and drawing up the topological scheme of the activity object; • preliminary development of variants of circuit-technical solutions of a given activity object and, if necessary, its individual elements; • Feasibility comparison of options and choice of optimal circuit and technical solution; • planning of the object's technological process based on the calculation and analysis of its established modes • domination of the level of currents of the short circuit of the object of activity on the basis of calculation of transient electromagnetic processes; • development of basic design solutions for the activity object and its components: • Develop the main circuits of electrical connections; • choose power electrical equipment, bus systems, switchgear, primary sensors (transformers of voltage and current), surge protection devices of primary circuits, etc .; • to select metering and metering devices, etc .; • development of measures and means for safety, life safety and limitation of the environmental impact of the operation of the object; • determine the economic performance of the entity
Assessment methods and criteria: The quality of ВCR protection is evaluated by the following criteria (100%): • completeness of disclosure of the topic, content and results obtained with conclusions; • validity of the responses to the reviewer's comments; • validity of the answers to the questions of the members of the SEC and those present at the meeting; • quality of speech during the presentation and discussion, including mastery of scientific and technical concepts and terminology.
