Learning outcomes: • know basic knowledge of scientific concepts, theories and methods needed to understand the principles of operation and functionality of electric vehicles; • know the basic knowledge of technical specifications, design features, purpose and rules of operation of the equipment; • ability to demonstrate knowledge of the current state of affairs and new technologies in the field of electrical engineering; • be able to count on the typical design of electrical equipment for the specialization; • be able to evaluate the results and arguments to defend the decision.

Summary of the subject: Classification of electrical apparatus. Thermal stability and dynamic vehicles. The theory of combustion and electric arc quenching. Electromagnets DC and AC. Apparatus control. Switching devices 1000V and above. Rreactors and capacitor batteries. Measuring current transformers and voltage. Principles of placing electrical apparatus in power plants and substations. Prospects for the development of electric vehicles.
Assessment methods and criteria: written reports on laboratory work, oral examination, reference work (30%) • final control (70% control measure, exam), oral-written odds-ma (70%)
