Learning outcomes: • theoretical bases of the design technology of electric power distribution systems (EPDS) of the general purpose industrial and civil objects; • practical application of the design technology to electric power distribution systems of general purpose industrial and civil objects; • directions for the development and prospects of application of the design technology of electric power distribution systems of the general purpose industrial and civil objects.
Required prior and related subjects: • electric systems of electricity consumption; • electric power distribution systems.
Summary of the subject: Basic requirements to project of electric power distribution systems (EPDS) of general purpose. Principles of designing general purpose EPDS. Stages and phases of design EPDS of general purpose. Design algorithm of general purpose EPDS of industrial objects. General principles of designing schemes of external and internal power supply of industrial objects. Methods of technical and economic analysis intended for the design of the general purpose EPDS. The structure and content of the documentation of the EPDS project of the industrial facility.
Assessment methods and criteria: • a written report of laboratory and design works, oral (30%); • final control – exam: writing-oral form (70%).
