Мета вивчення дисципліни: The formation of students of advanced modern special knowledge about the emergence, functioning and development of commodity markets, the peculiarities of the behavior of economic entities in the markets under different market models, taking into account the factors affecting the change in market conditions.
Завдання: general competences: ability to adapt and act in a new situation; professional competences: 1. the ability to conduct applied research in the field of public management and administration as part of a working group; 2. the ability to understand and the ability to take into account social, ethical, economic aspects that influence the formation of decisions in the field of public management and administration, and the ability to apply professional knowledge and practical skills to solve typical problems of the specialty, as well as the formation of a competitive environment and establishment of competitive relations in commodity markets.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: apply quality control methods in the field of professional activity. As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: the ability to develop recommendations for improving the activities of enterprises based on the analysis of their activities in commodity markets, research on the functioning of commodity markets.
Required prior and related subjects: microeconomics; antitrust regulation part 1, antitrust regulation part 2,state regulation of the economy.
Summary of the subject: The main provisions regarding the nature of industry markets and the behavior of enterprises are highlighted. The types of industry markets, the concept of market power, consumer behavior, pricing and profit formation in the conditions of various market models are characterized.
Опис: Topic 1: The essence of the theory of branch markets. Monopoly as an industry structure (the theory of industry markets as a direction of economic theory, interaction of the main market structures: monopolies and competition; monopoly as an economic category, forms of its manifestation; types and types, their main characteristics; advantages and disadvantages; formation profit under monopoly conditions. Topic 2: Pricing policy under different structures of industry markets (pricing under conditions of perfect competition; oligopoly price formation, Cournot theory, game theory; conditions that promote and limit oligopoly coordination; principles of pricing under monopoly conditions). Topic 3: The dominant firm as an industry leader. (causes of emergence, models of price behavior; quasi-competitive markets. Topic 4: Market power and market structure (characteristics and indicators of definition; relationship between market power and market concentration; market power of consumers and suppliers and their influence on the market power of the firm). Topic 4: Market entry (general characteristics; sequence of decision-making). Topic 5: Input and output barriers (general characteristics; properties). Topic 6: Price discrimination (groups; pricing methods; intertemporal discrimination; impact on market structure). Topic 7: Product differentiation and industry market (phenomenon, models, dependence of market structure on product differentiation). Topic 8: Integration. (method of seizing market power, vertical restraints, vertical integration, horizontal integration). Topic 9: Mergers as a strategy for business expansion (concepts and types, cartels, alternative types, motives). Topic 10: Takeover as a business expansion strategy (essence and types, cross-border takeover, allocative and managerial takeover). Topic 11: Industry markets and transformation of firms (general characteristics, economic optimization, reasons for implementation). Topic 12: Prospective directions for the development of organizations (evolution of organizational forms, organizations with "internal markets" and network organizations, other promising organizational forms). Topic 13: Effectiveness of functioning of industry markets (influence of market effectiveness on economic growth: directions of manifestation, function; essence).
Assessment methods and criteria: current control-40%, examination control - 60%.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Tests in the form of test tasks #1-3 involve providing answers to 8 test questions and are conducted using a virtual learning environment. In the case of providing all correct answers to 8 questions, the system calculates points in a percentage ratio depending on the number of correct answers provided. 100% of correct answers are valued at 8 points. Control work in the form of test tasks No. 4 involves providing answers to 6 test questions and is conducted using a virtual learning environment. In case of providing all correct answers to 6 questions, the system calculates points in percentage ratio depending on the number of correct answers provided. 100% of correct answers are valued at 6 points. Laboratory works No. 1, 3, 5 involve submission of works and their assessment using a virtual learning environment. The maximum number of points (5 points) is awarded for the correct mathematical solution with an indication of the correctness of the formulas in accordance with the selected option and the justification of the received answer, the formulation of general conclusions for each task. Laboratory work No. 2 involves submission of works and their assessment using a virtual learning environment. The maximum number of points (3 points) is awarded for a correct mathematical solution with an indication of the correctness of the formulas and independent formulation of general conclusions for each task. Laboratory work No. 4 involves the submission of works and their evaluation using a virtual learning environment. The maximum number of points (2 points) is awarded for a correct mathematical solution with an indication of the correctness of the formulas and independent formulation of general conclusions for each task.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied, in their relationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) is awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49–26 points – (“not certified” with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: The formation of students' developed modern special knowledge about the theoretical foundations of the functioning of industry markets, taking into account their effectiveness, the development of forms of interaction of production and consumption.
Завдання: general competences: ability to adapt and act in a new situation; professional competences: the ability to understand and the ability to take into account social, ethical, economic aspects that influence the formation of decisions in the field of public management and administration, and the ability to apply professional knowledge and practical skills to solve typical problems of the specialty, as well as the formation of a competitive environment and establishment of competitive relations in commodity markets.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: apply norms and rules of professional communication in Ukrainian; use statistical reporting, accounting and special research data in professional activities. As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: based on the analysis of the economic activity of enterprises and organizations, the ability to choose the optimal options for economic decisions in different market conditions in order to maximize economic benefits.

Summary of the subject: The course project is carried out while studying the discipline "Theory of branch markets", its main tasks are: to consolidate theoretical knowledge about the structure of branch markets, in particular, the mutual influence of a monopoly and competitive environment, the essence, types and causes of the emergence of monopolies, the peculiarities of the emergence and formation of monopoly prices and monopoly profit , features of the functioning of the dominant firm, price discrimination, the theory of product differentiation, methods of manifestation of an active firm in industry markets, namely: integration processes, mergers, acquisitions, transformations, prospective directions of the firm's development.
