Learning outcomes: Following the completion of the module the student should: - know the laws of functioning and development of world economy; - know the trends of international economic relations, financial markets and financial instruments; - be able to use this knowledge to analyze the patterns of interaction between national economies and international economic relations in the field of international trade, inter-country movement of factors of production, financing and formation of international economic policy; - be able to analyze foreign policy of Ukraine; analyze problems and provide prospects for foreign business development in Ukraine. The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes: PLO 3. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems in the field of marketing. PLO 5. Identify and analyze the key characteristics of marketing systems at different levels, as well as the behavior of their subjects. PLO 9. Assess the risks of marketing activities, establish the level of uncertainty of the marketing environment in making management decisions. PLO 13. Be responsible for the results of their activities, identify skills of entrepreneurial and managerial initiative. PLO 14. Perform functional responsibilities in the group, offer sound marketing solutions. PLO 15. To act socially responsibly and socially consciously on the basis of ethical principles of marketing, respect for cultural diversity and values of civil society with respect for individual rights and freedoms. PLOS 1.4. Develop new products and support their development at different stages of the life cycle, make effective marketing decisions on consumer properties, packaging, design, brand name and style, increase customer service based on analysis of their needs and capabilities. COM 1. Communicating information, ideas, problems, solutions and personal experience in the field of professional activity to specialists and non-specialists. AR 1. Management of complex actions or projects, responsibility for decision-making in unpredictable conditions. AR 2. Summary of the subject: Subject and structure of international economy. The statistical basis of international economy. Features of foreign trade at the present stage of development of international economic relations. Functional relationships in international economic relations. International organizations. The classical theory of international trade in goods and services. International trade policy. International capital flows. International labor migration. International technology transfer. International economic integration. The international monetary and financial system. The cost of currency exchange rate. Theories of exchange rates. Balance of payments. International financial markets. Models of macroeconomic development of an open economy. Regulation of the international economy.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (30%): independent work, individual assignments, oral interviews; - the final assessment (70%): paperwork (50%), oral answers (20%)
