Learning outcomes: As the studies results, student has: • To know prerequisites of appearance, nature and contents of merchandising, theoretical and methodological foundations for the introduction of technology merchandising, merchandising tools and rules, methodological approaches to trade and process of retail trade enterprises and enterprises restaurant business. • To be able to be oriented in approaches to planning trading hall at store and display of products, evaluate efficiency of presenting goods at trading hall, substantiate the effectiveness of merchandising technologies.
Required prior and related subjects: - “Marketing”, “Consumer Behavior”, “Neuromarketing” "Service logistics". - "Commercial activities of intermediary organizations"
Summary of the subject: - The nature and contents of merchandising; - behavior of customers in the store; - classification of goods and purchases in merchandising; - classification of product portfolio in merchandising; - organization and management of product portfolio based on merchandising technologies; - organization of the inner space of the store; - interior and atmosphere of the store; - display of goods based on merchandising technologies; - advertisement as a tool of merchandising; - merchandising features of individual product groups; - organization of merchandising system.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control (25%): written reports of laboratory work, oral examination. • Final control (75% differential test, oral examination).
