Required prior and related subjects: Precedent academic discipline Physics (secondary school program) Chemistry (secondary school program) Algebra (secondary school program) Geometry (secondary school program) Complementary academic discipline Higher mathematic Mathematical analysis Programming Automatic control theory Theoretical bases of electrical engineering
Summary of the subject: Course “Фізика, частина 1” is designed to introduce students to the university course of physics (electromagnetism, wave optics (interference, diffraction, polarization, dispersion, birefringence), heat radiation, atomic and nuclear physics, introduction in solid state physics) on the university level with application of high mathematics routines for deriving analytical description of complicated physical processes. The study of described course of physics makes provision for solving problems and execution of laboratory works with further study of the measurement results processing, their graphical presentation, error estimation and analysis of the obtained results. The course of physics is the background for understanding of the physics of processes, carried out in industrial processing units and helps to create the mathematical model of technological processes for automated control systems.
Опис: The lecture course covers eight sections, which outline the physical foundations of mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electrostatics, direct current, electromagnetism, wave optics, quantum nature of radiation.
Assessment methods and criteria: • підсумковий контроль - екзамен: письмово-усна форма (70%) • oral examination, written reports on laboratory work, test current control (30%) • final control - exam: written and oral form (70%)
