Мета вивчення дисципліни: The aim of the course is to provide students with the basics of electrochemical application of metal, conversion and composite coatings in aqueous solutions; electrochemical production of metals; regularities and features of the processes of electrolysis of ionic melts with the production of metals and electrolysis of solutions without the release of metals
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: integral competencies INT. The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems of chemical technologies and engineering, which involves the application of theories and methods of chemical technologies and engineering and are characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. general competences: ZK 3. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. ZK 4. Ability to communicate in the state language both orally and in writing. professional competences: FCS 1.2 Ability to use professional knowledge and practical skills to solve specific tasks in the field of electrochemical synthesis of substances and galvanic processes.
Learning outcomes: • As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: PR2 Correctly use terminology based on the concept of chemistry, chemical technologies, processes and equipment for the production of chemical substances and materials based on them in professional activities. PR3 To know and understand the mechanisms and kinetics of chemical processes, to use them effectively in the design and improvement of technological processes and apparatus of the chemical industry. Communication (COM) KOM 2. Collection, interpretation and application of data. Autonomy and responsibility (AiV) AIV 4. Organization and management of professional development of individuals and groups.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous - Inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry. Fundamentals of electrical engineering. General chemical technology Associated - Processes and devices of chemical production. Industry equipment and design basics. Electroplating technology
Summary of the subject: TIn the educational discipline "Fundamentals of technical electrochemistry", the theory of three main types of electrochemical processes is considered, namely: electrolysis of solutions with the release of metals, electrolysis of melts and electrolysis of aqueous solutions without the release of metals. According to the curriculum, the discipline provides for 15 hours. lectures and 3 p.m. laboratory classes, performance of calculation and graphic work and control of knowledge in the form of an exam.
Опис: ELECTROCHEMICAL APPLICATION OF METALLIC, CONVERSION AND COMPOSITE COATINGS. ELECTROCHEMICAL PRODUCTION OF METALS ELECTROLYSIS OF MELTS ELECTROLYSIS OF AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
Assessment methods and criteria: The method of distribution and awarding of points to students of higher education is regulated by the Regulation on the organization and implementation of current and semester monitoring of study results of students of Lviv Polytechnic National University. (https://lpnu.ua/sites/default/files/2020/pages/2028/svo0309polozhennyaproorganizaciyutaprovedennyapotochnoisemestrovogokontrolyu.pdf). The current control of students' knowledge includes the defense of laboratory works. Laboratory works: each student performs 3 laboratory works in a subgroup of 3-4 people. Each laboratory work is evaluated in 5 points, of which 3 are for answers during admission to laboratory work (1), conscientiousness during performance (1) and quality of report design (1), and 2 - for answers during defense. Semester control is carried out in the form of an exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (PC) - 30 points Laboratory works - 20, CRR - 10 Examination control (EC) - 70 points written component - 50, oral component - 20 Total for the discipline - 100 points
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
