Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline: to prepare students and familiarize them with the classification and design of special and typical equipment used in the production of plastics (mixers, filters, reaction apparatuses, equipment for drying and granulation of polymers, etc.), the principle of operation and trends in the development of intermittent and continuous equipment ; acquisition of skills in technological calculations of devices, selection of effective reagents for industrial use and optimal modes of synthesis of plastics; engineering evaluate equipment for hardware design of technological processes; Preparation of students for the implementation of course and diploma projects in the specialty.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: general competences: 1. Ability to use knowledge in practical situations. 3. The ability to learn, to perceive the acquired knowledge in the subject area and to integrate it with the existing ones. 4. Ability to plan and manage time. 5. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic facts, concepts, principles and theories related to chemistry. 2. Basic ideas about the variety of objects of chemical technology, industry, chemical products. 8. Ability to choose and use appropriate equipment, tools and methods for implementation and control of chemical production. 11. Ability to use theoretical knowledge, practical skills and abilities to master the basics of theory and methods of chemical and technological research. 12. Ability to use theoretical knowledge, practical skills and abilities to analyze, evaluate and design technological processes and equipment using traditional and alternative raw materials.

Assessment methods and criteria: The object of assessment of students' knowledge is the program material of the discipline of various nature and level of complexity, the assimilation of which is checked accordingly during the current control and exam. The task of current control is to check the understanding and assimilation of certain material, the developed skills of performing laboratory and practical seminar tasks, the ability to independently process texts, the ability to understand the content of a topic or section, the ability to publicly or in writing present certain material. The task of the exam is to check the student's understanding of the program material as a whole, the logic and relationships between individual sections, the ability to creatively use the accumulated knowledge, the ability to form one's attitude to a certain problem of the educational discipline, etc. The final (final) assessment of students' knowledge in the discipline "Technology of production and processing of polymers" is carried out, according to the procedure established by the Lviv Polytechnic University, on a 100-point scale, taking into account the results of the current and final control.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
