Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the course is to master the methods of developing a technological scheme of chemical production; principles of basic equipment sketch design; volumetric - planning decision of the shop; rational placement of equipment and its piping.

Modern ideas about the principles of structural organization and typical functions and mechanisms of work of technological objects of chemical production. FC9. The ability to interpret the data obtained as a result of laboratory observations and measurements in terms of their significance and correlate them with the relevant theory. FC11. Ability to use theoretical knowledge, practical skills and abilities to master the basics of theory and methods of chemical and technological research. FC12. Ability to use theoretical knowledge, practical skills and abilities to analyze, evaluate and design technological processes and equipment using traditional and alternative raw materials. FC17. Ability to understand the commercial and economic context for designing chemical plants.

Summary of the subject: Within the scope of the educational discipline "Designing chemical productions", the basics of industrial design, methods of construction of technological nodes and technological schemes as a whole, the basic principles of layout of equipment and production, as well as the principles of development of general production plans are considered.

Assessment methods and criteria: The main methods of knowledge diagnosis are: current (PC) and semester control (SC), which is carried out from educational material, the scope of which is determined by the work program of the discipline for the semester. Current control is carried out during lectures and laboratory classes in order to check the level of assimilation of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of the student. PC is conducted in the form of: written and oral control and defense of laboratory work. Semester control is conducted in the form of an exam (EC). The exam is a form of SC of the results of the student's studies in the academic discipline for the semester.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
