Learning outcomes: Integral competence (INT): the ability to solve practical problems in the process of learning and during professional activities in the field of law and to apply legal theories and methods on the basis of current national legislation. Knowledge and understanding of the retrospective of the formation of legal and state institutions. Program learning outcomes (PRO): PRO 2. Analyze social processes in the context of the analyzed problem and demonstrate their own vision of ways to solve it. PRO 3. Conduct collection and integrated analysis of materials from various sources. PRO 14. To show knowledge and understanding of the basic modern legal doctrines, values and principles of functioning of the national legal system. PRO 16. Explain the nature and content of basic legal phenomena and processes. PRO 28. Analyze the history of the formation of legal phenomena. Communication (COM): COM 4. Explain the nature of certain events and processes with an understanding of the professional and social context.

Summary of the subject: The course "Canon Law" is designed to teach material to students of higher educational institutions of III-IV level of accreditation. The program is designed so that students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of legal disciplines, learn the auxiliary provisions of philosophy, philosophy of law, canon law, theory of state and law, culturology, ethics, psychology, which are necessary at the present stage of Ukrainian lawyers The aim of the course is also to form a lawyer as a professional and his professional worldview and canonical legal culture for future legal activities, students mastering the scientific methodology of knowledge and understanding of canon law as a special introduction to the philosophy of law; becoming a lawyer with higher education and consolidating his worldview knowledge about law, its evolution and areas for improvement; formation of a legal lawyer of legal consciousness and religious culture, the ability to apply the acquired knowledge to understand modern legal processes of society.
Assessment methods and criteria: Evaluation of student learning results is carried out in accordance with a 100-point score of assessment established at the university. The final assessment of the discipline consists of an assessment of the current control of learning outcomes during the semester and evaluation of learning outcomes during a control event during semester control – exam. The number of points allocated to the current control is 40 points. Final test – 60 points. Maximum score in scores together for discipline – 100 points.
