Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: PR17. Apply the acquired knowledge in different legal situations, highlight legally significant facts and form sound legal conclusions; PR18. Prepare drafts of necessary acts of application of law in accordance with the legal conclusion made in different legal situations; PR23. Analyze and correctly apply the rules of substantive and procedural law; PR24. Demonstrate knowledge of legal norms that determine the organization and content of public authorities; PR26. Understand and take into account the peculiarities of professional activity and ethical norms of a lawyer; PR35. Demonstrate an understanding of the content of individual institutions of criminal law and process; PR37. Formulate substantiated conclusions in the field of law enforcement and prepare draft procedural documents. COM4. Explain the nature of certain events and processes with an understanding of the professional and social context. AiV1. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions; AiV3. Ability to be responsible in the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; AiV4. Ability to demonstrate understanding of current legislation.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Organization of activities of courts and law enforcement agencies, Criminal law. Requirements: Criminal process. Anti-corruption activity.
Summary of the subject: "Activities of the Prosecutor's Office in Ukraine" as a selective educational discipline belongs to the fundamental, normative, mandatory, professionally oriented legal disciplines and occupies a leading place in the professional training of lawyers. The educational discipline is accumulated on the basis of procedural law, the practice of its application and the science of the criminal process. He studies the current procedural legislation, procedural activity and procedural legal relations, the theory and history of the activity of the prosecutor's office. The subject of the discipline is the regularities of procedural law, procedural activity and procedural legal relations, ways of improving the domestic model of justice, features and trends in the development of the theory and history of the criminal process. Important for the study of the discipline are the patterns and trends of the development of the prosecutor's office in the criminal process system, the system of principles (principles) of the criminal process, current problems of the theory and practice of the criminal process, the effectiveness of the procedural form and procedural guarantees of justice, the peculiarities of the status of individual participants in the process, problems of ensuring the rights and human freedoms in the performance of the activities of the prosecutor's office, directions for improving the activity of the prosecutor in the process of criminal proceedings and the practice of its application. The educational discipline "Activities of the Prosecutor's Office in Ukraine" is based on generalizations of investigative, judicial, and prosecutorial practice.
Assessment methods and criteria: program material of the discipline, including answers to practical (seminar) classes, preparation of reports, presentations and more. Current control is carried out in the form of frontal standardized oral examination of students; calling individual students to independently solve practical problems or situations (incidents); blitz - a survey, which is either a continuous survey of all students present or a sample survey of those present. Execution of an individual research task involves the student's work on a certain list of topics (tasks), the ability to use existing literature and regulations, to plan their own work. Assessment of learning outcomes is based on the results of the PC in accordance with the 100-point assessment scale established at the University.
