Summary of the subject: Principles of criminal proceedings that provide constitutional and sectoral guarantees of observance of the rights of participants in the process; court, parties and other participants in criminal proceedings, their procedural legal status; observance of human rights during evidence in pre-trial investigation and trial; measures to ensure criminal proceedings, precautionary measures in the system of measures of procedural coercion and ensuring the rights of participants, during their application; general provisions of the pre-trial investigation; observance of human rights during the conduct of investigative (search) actions, covert investigative (search) actions; general provisions of court proceedings; proceedings at first instance and ensuring human rights during the trial; proceedings in the court of appeal and ensuring human rights during the trial; proceedings for review of court decisions and ensuring human rights by the Supreme Court; features of criminal proceedings of certain categories of cases.
Assessment methods and criteria: Methods of monitoring the success of training through the measurement of the level of knowledge acquisition in the discipline are: - oral examination at seminars (practical) classes; - presentation at practical (seminar) classes (with an abstract, report, discussion, etc.); - solving test tasks (including in the ANS) on the relevant topic; - written test (theoretical questions, solving practical problems (cases), test tasks); - performance and defense of an individual written task. Form of final control: differentiated test. Criteria for evaluating student learning outcomes. Maximum score in points - 100. Practical (seminar) classes, work in VNS - 60 points; educational and research tasks, abstracts, reports, draft decisions, scientific publications, participation in business or simulation games, conferences, olympiads, etc. - 20 points; final test - 20 points.
