Summary of the subject: Theoretical foundations of life safety. The concept of danger and risk. Axioms of life safety. System approach in BJD. Taxonomy, identification and quantification of hazards and classification of emergencies. Categories of facilities by level of threat. Modern problems of life. Classification of dangerous natural processes and phenomena. Characteristics and consequences of natural threats. Geologically dangerous phenomena. Meteorological and hydrological dangerous phenomena. Natural fires. Biological hazards. Classification and characterization of negative factors of man-made environment. Characteristics of man-made emergencies. Protective structures, life support systems of protective structures in case of emergencies. General concepts of the basics of combustion theory. Fire factors are dangerous to humans. Classification of objects according to their fire and explosion hazard. Indicators of fire and explosion hazard of substances and materials. Legislation in the field of fire safety. Means of extinguishing and detection of fires. Classification of hazardous chemicals by degree of toxicity, combustion, impact on the human body. Characteristics of hazard classes according to the degree of their effect on the body . Features of pollution of the area, water, food in case of accidents with the release of hazardous chemicals. Classification of business entities and administrative-territorial units by chemical hazard. Measures of protection against dangerous chemicals (NHR).
