Learning outcomes: Integral competence (INT): the ability to solve practical problems in the process of learning and during professional activities in the field of law and to apply legal theories and methods on the basis of current national legislation. Ability to exercise their rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to realize the values of civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine. Ability to apply knowledge of the basics of theory and philosophy of law, knowledge and understanding of the structure of the legal profession and its role in society; GC.8. Knowledge and understanding of the peculiarities of the implementation and application of substantive and procedural law; GC.12. Ability to analyze legal issues, form and justify legal positions; GC.13. Ability to critically and systematically analyze legal phenomena and apply the acquired knowledge in professional activities; GC.15. Ability to independently prepare draft law enforcement acts; GC.16. Ability to logical, critical and systematic analysis of documents, understanding their legal nature and meaning. Analyze social processes in the context of the analyzed problem and demonstrate their own vision of ways to solve it; РО3. Conduct collection and integrated analysis of materials from various sources; РО15. Demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding of the essence and content of basic legal institutions and norms of fundamental branches of law; РО17. Apply the acquired knowledge in different legal situations, highlight legally significant facts and form sound legal conclusions; РО18. Prepare drafts of the necessary acts of application of law in accordance with the legal conclusion made in different legal situations; РО21. Know the mechanism of realization of human rights and freedoms; РО23. Analyze and correctly apply the rules of substantive and procedural law. Communication (COM): COM4. Explain the nature of certain events and processes with an understanding of the professional and social context. Autonomy and responsibility (AR): AR.1. Summary of the subject: "Activities of local governments" is an integral course, the successful study of which involves students mastering lecture material, its consolidation and deepening in practical (seminar) classes, an independent study of normative, educational and scientific literature. The most important ideological ideas and categories to be mastered during the study of this discipline is formation of a holistic vision of future lawyers of issues relevant to Ukrainian statehood: constitutional and legal status of local governments, the order of their formation, competence and interaction between themselves and public authorities during the decentralization reform, features of forms and methods of local government in terms of building a legal and democratic state, etc.
Assessment methods and criteria: Evaluation of student learning results is carried out in accordance with a 100-point score of assessment established at the university. The final assessment of the discipline consists of an assessment of the current control of learning outcomes during the semester and evaluation of learning outcomes during a control event during semester control – exam. The number of points allocated to the current control is 40 points. Examination control – 60 points. Maximum score in scores together for discipline – 100 points.
