Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the applicant must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: PR14. To show knowledge and understanding of the basic modern legal doctrines, values and principles of functioning of the national legal system. PR15. To demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding of the essence and content of basic legal institutions and norms of fundamental branches of law. PR16. To explain the nature and content of basic legal phenomena and processes. PR17. To apply the acquired knowledge in different legal situations, single out legally significant facts and form substantiated legal conclusions. PR23. To analyze and correctly apply the rules of substantive and procedural law. PR24. To demonstrate knowledge of legal norms that determine the organization and content of public authorities. PR29. To analyze situational plots and solve legal problems. AiV1. The ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions; AiV3. The ability to be responsible in the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; AiV4. The ability to demonstrate understanding of current legislation.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous academic disciplines: theory of state and law; constitutional law; administrative law. Related and subsequent academic disciplines: financial law; administrative process; budget law; activities of fiscal authorities; tax law.
Summary of the subject: Customs law of Ukraine as a complex branch of law. Customs authorities (organizational and legal bases of their activity). Customs regimes. Basics of customs clearance in Ukraine. Legal characteristics of customs control in Ukraine. Legal regulation of the order of movement of goods, vehicles across the customs border of Ukraine. Legal liability for violation of customs regulations. Ukraine is a subject of international customs law.
Assessment methods and criteria: Forms and means of control over the study of the discipline are: - oral questioning at seminars; - presentation at seminars (with a report, discussion, etc.); - testing, including computer testing; - written сontrol work (answers to the questions of the lecture course); - individual research task (abstract, presentation, thesis); - group work in seminars; - final control testing. Criteria for evaluating learning outcomes: Practical (seminar) classes - 70 points Control work - 5 points Individual research task (abstract, presentation, thesis) - 5 points Final control testing - 20 points Total for the discipline - 100 points.
