Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline "Migration Law" the student must show the following learning outcomes: - to analyze social processes in the context of the analyzed problem and demonstrate their own vision of ways to solve it; - to show knowledge and understanding of the basic modern legal doctrines, values and principles of functioning of the national legal system; - demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding of the nature and content of basic legal institutions and norms of fundamental branches of law; – explain the nature and content of the main legal phenomena and processes; - to apply the acquired knowledge in different legal situations, to single out legally significant facts, and to form substantiated legal conclusions; - provide advice on possible ways to protect the rights and interests of clients in various legal situations; - know the mechanism of realization of human rights and freedoms; - analyze and correctly apply the rules of substantive and procedural law; - demonstrate knowledge of legal norms that determine the organization and content of public authorities; - analyze situational plots and solve legal problems. – explain the nature of certain events and processes with an understanding of the professional and social context; - the ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions; - ability to treat the work responsibly, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; - ability to demonstrate understanding of current legislation.

Summary of the subject: The purpose of the studying the discipline is: in-depth and comprehensive study of the origin and development of legal regulation of migration processes in Ukraine, analysis of the legal status of various categories of migrants in Ukraine (immigrants, foreigners and stateless persons, asylum seekers, refugees, repatriates), assistance in mastering the methodology legal analysis of the norms of migration law of Ukraine, the possibility of applying the obtained theoretical knowledge in specific conditions of public life and practice. As well as the formation of skills and abilities in the field of implementation of migration legislation, the correct interpretation and implementation of migration legislation in practicе.
Assessment methods and criteria: The main diagnosing methods of knowledge are: oral interview in practical classes; presentation at practical classes with an abstract, report, participation in a discussion, etc .; testing students' regarding knowledge of the relevant topic of the course, individual tests. Criteria for evaluating student learning outcomes: oral examination - 75 points; - work in small groups, abstracts, reports and research discussions - 5 points; - control work - 10 points; - test control - 10 points; - total for the discipline - 100 points.
